for their funding of sidewalk widening.
Increase Project budget by $547,000
with appropriation from CCFP Fund.

Scope of Project
Widen west side (southbound direction)
from Calle Aspero to Paseo De La Paz;
Add a southbound lane and a northbound
lane;
Add street lighting, sidewalks, and bike
lanes.
Construct retaining wall at northerly end
up to 7’ high

Benefits of Project
Eliminates “bottle-necks” southbound at Aguacate Road and northbound near Paseo De La Paz.
Enhances safety by eliminating lane drops and merges that create vehicle conflicts.
Enhances safety by providing street lighting.

Enhances pedestrian safety with added sidewalk on the west side.
Enhances bicycle safety with added bike lanes on both sides.
With lane closures for maintenance, construction, accidents, the additional will lanes allow for:
◦Continuous traffic movement
◦Access for emergency vehicles.
