SUBJECT: Construction Contract with South Coast Striping to install "No Parking" signs on Camino
Capistrano and re-stripe handicap parking stalls in the Downtown Parking Structure
Staff solicited quotes for the following:
1. The installation of"No Parking" signs on Camino Capistrano from JSerra Rd to the northerly
City limits. This parking restriction was approved by Council on April 4, 2017. It is funded by
CIP 11101 Street Name Replacement Project.
2. Re-striping six handicap stalls in the Downtown Parking Structure. This project will bring the
handicap parking stall in conformance with the latest ADA standards. This project is funded by
CIP 15306 ADA Self Evaluation and Transition Plan.
South Coast Striping submitted the lowest quote for both projects at $12,850. OC Striping quoted
$20,450 and Cal Stripe was non responsive. South Coast Striping is a small firm and well suited for
projects of these sizes.
