SUBJECT: Housing Advisory Committee Actions of January 15, 1997
This report summarizes actions taken by the Housing Advisory Committee on January 15, 1997. No
action is required unless Council wishes to hold special review of an item.

1. Call to Order - The meeting was convened at 7.00 p m.
2. Oral Communicationzi - None
3. Consent Calendar - The Action Minutes of December 11, 1996 were approved as submitted.
4. Public Hearing
a. Review of Possible Programs for Inclusion into City Community Development Block
Grant Application - The Committee conducted a public hearing on the Community
Development Block Grant Application process and receive testimony from Capistrano
Villas Homeowners Association No. 2 regarding possible assistance programs for
securing a well site and new playground equipment for their common park area
(Cheryl Larson) At the request of stat? the public hearing was continued to February
6, 1997 where a staff report and presentation will be provided regarding all the
various assistance request that have been submitted to the City The present deadline
for application submittal is January 29th Motion for continuance was passed 5-O
(McGuire, Palermo).
5. Old Business
a Review of Revised Housing Element - The Committee continued their review of the
revised Housing Element document and requested technical changes to the text. By
HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE -2- January 17, 1997
motion, the Committee forwarded a recommendation of approval to the Planning
Commission for the Revised Housing Element subject to the technical text changes,
5-O (McGuire, Palermo).
6. Adiournment - The meeting was adjourned at 8.20 p.m. to Thursday, February 6, 1997 at
700pm
