CALL TO ORDER- Chairperson Ratcliffe called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. B. ROLL CALL- Present: Gene Ratcliffe, Joanne Marquez, William Bonney, Nancy Campman, Gila Jones, Jess Lopez, David Solt Absent: None Staff Present: Douglas Dumhart, Economic Development Manager Laura Stokes, Housing/Redevelopment Coordinator Each Member related their own interests in housing and why they chose to participate in the Housing Advisory Committee. D. COMMITTEE REORGANIZATION (ELECT CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR OF THE COMMITTEE) - David Solt nominated for Chairperson, passed 7-0. Gila Jones nominated for Vice Chairperson, passed 7-0. E. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - Michael Keller, Chief Operating Officer for Houses to Homes, 33681 Scotty's Cove Dr, Dana Point, CA 92629, related his own interest as a developer, in providing affordable housing. The Housing Advisory Committee welcomed Mr. Keller and expressed a great deal of interest in his company's work. F. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES - Member Ratcliffe moved to approve the minutes with the date for the approved minutes being corrected to July 23, 2008, passed 7-0. Review of Potential Affordable Housin Develo ment Sites Laura Stokes Housin /Redevelo ment Coordinator Ms. Stokes provided a report on the potential affordable housing sites located within the City. Committee Members discussed the viability of the ROP site, and encouraged staff to continue pursuit of the site. Staff clarified that the site list is fluid and sites can be added as they become available. Moved to receive and file, passed 7-0. 2. Housing Pra ram Status Re ort Laura Stokes Housing/Redevelopment Coordinator) Ms. Stokes provided a report on the City's Programs. Further details were given regarding the HOME Grant, the likelihood of getting the First Time Home Buyer Program running, and what grants the City pursues. Moved to receive and file, passed 7-0. 3. In -Lieu n=Lieu Fee Status Report Laura Stokes, Housing/Redevelopment Coordinator, T Ms. Stokes provided a report on the Housing In -Lieu Fee Update and reviewed the approved formula with the Committee.
